Most of the time, the problem can be fixed by cleaning the MAF sensor's wires. When it overestimates the airflow, the PCM releases too much fuel. It can't measure airflow accurately, therefore sending incorrect information to the PCM. These issues can happen when the MAF sensor is damaged or when its wires are coated with dirt. Signs that your vehicle is running rich include: “Running rich”means there is too much fuel and not enough air in each combustion cylinder.

I would always exhaust basic fixes first before taking it to the next level. Wow, you must've looked at the car yourself to be so confident. The MAF sensor is not the issue in all likelihood. So I'm gonna try that first, if that doesn't work then I'm gonna order the part from Amazon, so that way if that's not the problem hopefully I can get a refund. Good timing! Before you spend any big bucks, pick up a can of CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner.
